Near and far, Develo Coaching athletes are off to a quick start this season. Over in Belgium, Richard pushed through a run of bad luck to capture 11th in a 160-rider junior field. He followed that up with another top 20. Closer to home, Alexey Vermeulen won the cat. 1/2 Reily Road Race on March 23 in Ohio. And David Palan nabbed the win in the 50-54 age group and 6th overall in the 24 mile race at Barry-Roubaix.

Strong Cyclocross Season
Develo Coaching athletes had strong seasons in cyclocross. David Palan overcame a separated shoulder early in the season and slow recovery to still find his way to the podium at the Vets Park race on November 10. Tom Barrett dominated the cat. 3 fields all season to win the Tailwind Racing Cyclocross Series overall and the state championship. Bryan Underwood made big strides, too, finishing 5th overall in the Tailwind Racing Cyclocross Series for the cat. 1/2/3 field and capped off the season with 4th at the state championship race at Addison Oaks.
Congratulations to them all on very solid cyclocross performances this season and big improvements over the past year!
Solid Start to the Road Season
The road racing has been going on a while in warmer parts of the country. Back in February Richard grabbed 7th at Valley of the Sun time trial in Arizona. In the Midwest the temps haven't been as warm but the results are heating up. Alexey won the 1/2/3 race at Lake Hope before heading to Italy where he grabbed 41st of 200 starters at Giro Belvedere in first U23 race. John also grabbed a podium at Lake Hope with a 2nd in the cat. 3s.
Weston kept the winning going taking the top spot in the Welsh Hills Road Race. A week later he helped spring the winning break at the Zanesfield Road Race where his teammates Jack and John went on to take 1st and 2nd out of that break.
